Important Update: New Membership Structure Effective 1 April 2026
Membership Options (Effective 1 April 2026)
- 12-Month Rostered Membership – $120
Includes 2 x 1-hour rostered duties + $50 refundable duty bond - 6-Month Rostered Membership – $70
Includes 2 x 1-hour rostered duties + $50 refundable duty bond - Casual Membership (Non-Rostered) – $25
Includes 5 visits + $20 refundable toy bond
Note: Casual members have a limited number of toys they can borrow each visit and access to a limited range of toys.
Bond System Introduction
- A $50 refundable duty bond applies to all full (rostered) memberships
- The bond will be refunded once both rostered duties are completed within the membership period
- No refund will be issued if duties are not completed
Bond Renewal Condition
- The $50 duty bond will not roll over when renewing
- Returning members should:
- Pay a new membership fee + new $50 duty bond, and
- Select and confirm their 2 x 1-hour duties at the time of renewal
This ensures helper support continues in each new membership period.
Why These Changes?
These updates are designed to:
- Encourage members to complete their rostered duties
- Ensure sufficient helper support during busy sessions
- Reduce pressure on the librarian
- Provide a more sustainable and future-proof approach as membership grows
The purpose of these changes is to create a smoother, more efficient experience for both members and our librarian, ensuring that all sessions are well-supported and enjoyable for everyone.
These changes apply to all new members joining from 1 April 2026, and existing members renewing from this date onwards.

As December rolls in, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to you for being such an important part of our toy library community this year. The toy library will close for a summer break and reopen in Feb 2025. We wish you all a festive, joyful holiday season with your loved ones!

New TOY ALERT
Our librarian is working hard to processing new toys. Come to visit us, you may see them on the shelves :)
Stocktake Week 25th - 28th JAN 2022 - Great time to do your duties!
Our stock take will take place from Tuesday the 25th Jan to Friday the 28th. You can come along anytime from 9am to around 3pm and any amount of time is welcome - it's a great opportunity to complete the duties that are yet to be completed. Every two hour period is one duty.
The stock take is also a great way to keep our database as accurate as possible and also to spot any toys that we should take out of circulation and make room for new toys!

New pricing effective from 1st May 2021
After careful consideration and balancing of the Toy library's current need of helpers with providing more incentives for members who are available for help, the Toybox toy library is offering a more flexible membership options while still striving to provide an affordable toy library service to the families in the community. The new pricing will start effective from 1st May 2021. Your existing membership is unaffected. The new pricing and duties will apply when you renew your membership.
